About IgniteUS
IgniteUS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
The ministry is Christ-centered, evangelical, Protestant,
trans-denominational and kingdom-focused. Our processes are
principle-driven and Biblically based.
We have strong convictions in the Great
Commandment and the Great Commission,
believing that churches should produce disciples, not warehouse
saints.
We are non-traditional and, at times, politically incorrect. We
believe that disciple-making takes precedent over personal and social
agendas. We are committed to truth and excellence in all things,
and we practice intentional and disciplined stewardship. We are
not driven by money or the need for income; our staff members have
other means to support their families.
We do not believe that “one size fits all,” and
we do not believe that the IgniteUS
process – a leadership development journey which
varies from pastor to pastor and congregation to congregation
– is right for every church. It is not for the impatient
or the faint of heart.
IgniteUS is a virtual organization with staff members and
mentors across the country to better serve the breadth of
America’s churches. Our staff members
are current and effective pastors, who are experienced with
transitioning churches into healthy disciple-makers.

Our Staff
Our staff members
are current pastors who have experience with transitioning
churches. They have chosen to be a part of the IgniteUS ministry
because of their firm belief in the church’s role in
making new disciples.
Our Name
The name IgniteUS communicates
our desire to re-ignite the flame of passion for disciple-making
among today’s churches in America. It intends to inspire
and challenge, while also communicating humility (we, too,
at IgniteUS need the flame of God within us). The supporting
verse, 2 Timothy 1:6 supports
this.
The tagline “Rekindling leadership in America’s
churches” further reflects the vision and mission
of IgniteUS. It is through leadership development that we hope to
arouse today’s churches and call them towards more deliberate
disciple-making.
Our History
Established in Columbia, South Carolina in 1999
as Nero’s Broken Fiddle (or NBF, Inc.), IgniteUS is a 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization. The motivation for establishing this ministry
was the recognition of two realities:
 |
80-85% of the churches in
America need training in leadership development. |
|
 |
Only 1 in 10 pastors is equipped to lead
a congregation in a meaningful change and renewal process. |
|
The name changed to IgniteUS in May of
2003 to better capture the passion of the ministry –
rekindling leadership in America’s churches. From the
beginning, the ministry’s founders have been intentional
and discerning in selecting leaders and churches for participation
in the process. We want every
participant to achieve ministry effectiveness and genuine
wholehearted renewal among the people they lead. The end
product is the reproduction of other churches with this
same passion. To determine whether or not your church might
benefit from the IgniteUS process, try our Readiness
Quiz.
